Potluck Poetry Open Mic
Join Ancient City Poets and local poetry community for left overs and poems of gratitude.

Bring leftovers and your poems to an open mic gathering and get stuffed with gratitude.
End the Thanksgiving day weekend by gathering with poets and poetry lovers. Bring a cold dish left, and or beverage, to share. There will be no warming facilities, so cold sweet treats, and appetizers are encouraged. The gathering will be held at the Maria Reyes-Jones Studio at 134 Riberia Street in historic Downtown St. Augustine. The sign-up sheet will be available at 2:30 PM on the event day. At 3 PM, the facilitator will call to the podium the first 15 names on the sheet. Each presentation should be limited to five minutes maximum, to allow everyone time to share. The mic will be turned off a 4:30 PM to allow everyone time to network and socialize.
By the time Sunday afternoon rolls around on Thanksgiving weekend, teens are busting a gut to get away from the house. For college kids, many are looking for a reason to head back to campus. That is why the November open mic is dedicated to young voices each year. The turnout is always so strong. You will be blown away by the rawness, the honesty, and the blossoming talent.
